We take pride in offering Student Centric Outcome Based Education that is relevant to todays & future Hospitality & Tourism Industry, and Society. On behalf of the Representatives of Mizoram University Administration, administrative support staff and faculty members, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all our young and dynamic candidates who are passionate and thrive to be the future leaders in the Industry and Society. We are keen to ensure that you have sound academic and research development at the Institution. We are concerned with inculcating critical thinking skills and abilities in all the students.

DTHM thrives to be one of the Top Department in Central University in next 5-6 years. It will be highly inspiring for the team and students in future to belong to the department. Our faculty members are looking forward to imparting quality education and helping you to understand fundamental concepts in a wide host of subjects, with advanced laboratories.

We assure that the Pedagogy at the Institute will be state-of-art, Modern and an ideal Institution in India, where a variety of learning, behavioral tools are used in quality pursuance of knowledge, development of skills, attitudes, and values complemented by academia-industry interface. Role plays, case studies, project work practical, industrial exposure training with leading hotels in India, project research assignments, industry visits, will be some of the methods that will be used as per the recent industry needs.

Department will focus on the holistic development of its students through variety of methodologies and extracurricular activities the whole year round. Teaching, Skill development, Job Creation and Research & Development will be the primary activities at the Institute through which we will fulfill our Mission and Objective.
