MBA TOURISM & HOSPITALITY (MBATH)

  • MBATH programme comprises of four semesters. Under the CBCS course pattern the students admitted in this course have to undertake 100 credit papers all together in 4 semesters. The department also offers value added/ Skill development add-on course in each semester. At the end of second semester examination, students are required to undergo for summer internship to learn in-depth about the tourism & hospitality industry for 8 weeks in reputed organization. After successful completion of summer internship students need to submit an internship report and a certificate of completion issued from the company or organization and a presentation before the committee constituted by Head, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management.

  • In order to provide exposure to the students of MBATH, there is a provision for Curriculum Stipulated Study Tour (CSST) in Second Semester. After that student need to submit a tour report and present for Viva-Voce/ Presentation before the committee constituted by Head, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management. This programme is built on the foundation of activity-based learning model. Participants in this programme will experience a challenging developmental process which builds character, competency and confidence and fosters the understanding of tourism and hospitality industry. The MBATH programme offers an integrated set of skills from the fundamental functional areas of tourism and hospitality business to the practical methods of managing tourism and hospitality operations. The course offers specialization in four disciplines –Tourism Marketing, Hospitality Management, Special Interest Tourism and Event Management.
